Justin Thomas has withdrawn from the Travelers Championship that starts on June 23. In any other circumstances, the Tour fans never would have tried to find the reason behind it. The PGA Tour announced Thomas’ news a day after it was revealed that Brooks Koepka had also withdrawn from the tournament. Notably, the 4-time major champion is the next one to leave the PGA Tour for the LIV Golf series.

He was pulled from the tee sheet just before 9:45am ET. Official announcement not until 11:10am with ZERO explanation. Basically a full hour and a half, in an instant world, with tons of speculation and GAMBLING/DFS Partner implications. Insane. pic.twitter.com/CwXACGaPV2
