The Masters is set to begin on the 7th of April, and the golf world was excited to watch the first-ever major of the year! However, the fans are confused about whether to attend the tournament this time. This happened after knowing upsetting news from the Augusta National.

Former caddie and current editor for Golf.com, James Colgan, shared the saddening update from the Augusta National through his Twitter.
Some significant Masters food news, per the Amen Corner concessions:
Due to "supply-chain issues," there will be NO Georgia Peach Ice Cream Sandwiches on sale at Augusta National.

Georgia Peach Ice Cream Sandwiches are the main attraction of the golf course. The sandwich soon gained popularity after being introduced in 2012. According to Bloomberg.com, the sandwich is sold exclusively at the Club for the Masters’ Tournaments.

Other than the Tournament, the sandwich is something that every golf fan looks forward to every year. Therefore, the news of not having them this year on sale has put them in dismay.

Peaches from Georgia are the main ingredients in the ice cream sandwich, and the Club is in Augusta. However, the supply chain issue is cited as the reason for not selling the sandwiches, and this has gained the attention of most of the fans.
Someone has to dig deeper on this. What supply chain issues? It isn’t like the ice cream was coming in from Asia. Is there a dairy shortage in the SE US? A peach shortage?

The news is certainly heartbreaking. However, the Masters field this year has one of the best golfers. Therefore, the sandwiches will be the only upsetting thing the golf fans will find at Augusta this year.
The Masters field of 2022
It has been over a week since the Masters officials have announced the field list. All the top golfers, including the current world top 3 Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm, and Collin Morikawa will be playing at the Augusta.

Furthermore, the rising star Viktor Hovland, Rory McIlroy, Justin Thomas, and Brooks Koepka would increase the intensity of the competition. Moreover, the Sentry Tournament and the PLAYERS Championship winner, Cameron Smith, is also on the field list. Additionally, Tiger Woods is also a part of the field.

All the fans will miss the Georgia Peach Ice Cream Sandwiches at the Augusta this year. However, they wouldn’t be disappointed as the competition for the title will be fierce.
