Everybody was excited to watch Tiger play at an official tournament after a long time. However, his group had to wait for a lot longer than expected as the group ahead of them, with DeChambeau in it, took more time than needed.
I swear to god if Tiger has to wait all day because Bryson is double checking the Pythagorean theorem I might lose my mind.

DeChambeau played in a group ahead of Tiger along with the Australian golfer Cameron Smith. Paul Casey, the third member of the group, had withdrawn before the round began because of a back spasm. Yet, the group took more time to finish their round because of DeChambeau’s slow play.
According to the USGA rules, a golfer needs to hit his shots within 40 seconds. However, DeChambeau has always broken this rule and sometimes even taken a couple of minutes to hit his shots. Furthermore, Bryson had made Justin Thomas and Tommy Fleetwood frustrated once for taking more than two minutes to make an 8-footer birdie.

The fellow golfer, Brooks Koepka, also had once called out the slow players for making the game tough for others. “Guys are already so slow,” he said. “It’s kind of embarrassing.” He expressed his frustration after Bryson and others got criticized for their slow play.
Golf World reacts to making Tiger Woods wait extra time!
Since it is not the first time DeChambeau was accused of slow play, many of the prominent names from the sports world took Twitter to make their statement on it.
