The game of golf is not a stranger to bizarre occasions. From the hilarious online avatar of Max Homa to the infamous tackle of PGA Tour Adam Hadwin, the sport has seen its fair share of peculiar instances. However, this time around, the community can’t help but turn their heads to some famous pictures that have resurfaced in the golfing world.

Golf is often termed as a gentleman’s game. And, many acts by the athletes and the various events on and off the course do add to the integrity of the game. However, sometimes, there arise certain situations that fail to affirm the same. Such was the case with some golfers including Woods, John Daly, and Trump.
The 82X PGA Tour winner was found asleep in his car on the side of the road in May of 2017. The police in Jupiter, Florida, found him following which the golfer failed some on-site tests for sobriety. This led him to get arrested and put into jail for the night. Although the case passed as he denied the use of any alcohol and issued a statement for the same blaming it on bad prescription, the mugshot taken during the same made has gone on to become nothing short of viral.
Following the GOAT is none other than the ‘Bad Boy’ of golf, Daly. The professional got drunk and passed out at a Hooter’s in North Carolina following which he was taken to the local jail. The incident occurred in October 2008 and the then-42-year-old was booked into the Forsyth County lockup where the famous close-up of the 5X PGA Tour winner was taken, as per reports. He was released on an unsecured bond after spending a night in custody.

In another case unrelated to golf, the enthusiast and former President Trump was arrested this year following his name being booked on a number of felony charges. As per reports, he was accused of crimes including racketeering, and pressurizing state officials in an attempt to overturn his loss in the 2020 elections, among others. However, he was released 20 minutes later after the arrest.
However, such close-ups were not just taken for any lapse in law and order.
Golfers and their Olympic headshots
The 2021 Olympics saw a lot of professionals in the sport including Xander Schauffele and Rory McIlroy express their happiness at playing the game in the event. However, their joy could not be seen in the pictures as, according to the guidelines, the athletes were not allowed to show their smiles on camera.
