Golf’s ‘bad boy’ John Daly has been on the PGA Tour since 1991. In the last three decades, his antics have created ample headlines. Whether it’s the health issues, alcohol or gambling addictions, or his relationship with the former US president, Donald Trump, John Daly knows the different world golf opens up for him.

He is currently playing at the PGA Tour Champions event, the Sanford International, at Minnehaha Country Club in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. More than the game, Daly appeared to be more invested in Jake Owen’s concert on Day 1. On another day, another headline; today, his cigar lines are making the buzz.

Cigars are among the most common sights on a golf course, with many players enjoying them. Interestingly, John Daly, who launched his own cigar lines, prefers cigarettes while playing golf. Perhaps his preferences will change after he sees his buddy, Donald Trump, holding one of his cigar boxes.

In an Instagram video shared by San Giuseppe Cigars (the Cigar brand partnered with John Daly), Donald Trump is seen seated in a golf cart holding a cigar box on the field, saying, “John Daly is the greatest.” The bad boy reposted the story, saying, “approved by the best.”

The box that Trump can be seen holding is called the The Lion Long Game, worth $225. It uses an Ecuadorian Habano 2000 wrapper over an Ecuadorian binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic and Ecuador. And if you think John Daly realistically casts the signature on the box, you are mistaken. It is printed to represent his presence.

The cigars are called ‘The John Daly Long & Short Game’. Evidently, his love for golf crept into his new business, and he also used his nicknames to commemorate the legacy he had built for himself. While one box is called ‘The Lion,’ another is called ‘The Wild One.’ And John Daly has been nicknamed both in the golf world.

When it comes to his friendship with former POTUS Donald Trump, Daly once admitted that he finds himself very lucky to live in a country led by this man. He can often be spotted playing golf with Trump at the ex-president’s golf course.
