The BMW PGA Championship witnessed a great display of skills on the English greens. While few eyes surely remain on the newly crowned victor, Ryan Fox, the attention cannot be helped but divert toward the Ryder Cup participants who performed dominantly.

The Ryder Cup Europe account took to Instagram to congratulate the performers for conquering the challenging field. Among the 12 members of the team, seven grabbed spots in the Top 10 list of the event. Along with shedding praise for the athletes, the account posted individual pictures of all seven players inside the Top Ten.

The first player on the slides was Tyrrell Hatton, who currently holds the 15th rank in the DP World Tour Rankings. He finished at T2 with a final score of 17-under par, displaying gameplay with full in-control shots. While Hatton impressed everyone around him with his astonishing strokeplay, it was the Spaniard Jon Rahm who further ignited an uproar among the crowd with his 4th-place finish.

Witnessing their most consistent player and one of the senior players achieve yet another feat on the course seems like the perfect delight for the fans of the European team. If this was not enough pressure for the Americans, the presence of Viktor Hovland, Tommy Fleetwood, and Rory McIlroy one after the other on the next three spots will undoubtedly have sent across a clear message of ultimate dominance.

Adding the final nail in the coffin were the 23-year-old Ludvig Aberg and the 30-year-old Sepp Straka, both finishing their rounds at T10. Acknowledging the exceptional control and expertise shown by the stars, the captain of the side seemed all too merry.

Through his Instagram story, the senior golfer reshared the talked-about post and commented with a savage “Not mad at all.” The star even added the European flag along with a trophy beside it, revealing the clear intent of the team behind all their hard work. While some players from the Ryder Cup squad missed the Top 10 spots in the recent tournament, even they executed brilliant skills and techniques on the testing course.

Despite finishing outside the top 10, the rest of Europe’s lineup is equally battle-ready

The presence of the above-mentioned seven players on English soil evidently delivered an unwavering message. However, the rest of the European line-up wasn’t far behind. Transmitting their point across, not only did all the European members go on to participate in one of the biggest DP World Tour events weeks ahead of the team competition, but every single one of them made the cut at the event.

While finishing in the top 10 is an astounding accomplishment, making the cut is also an incredible feat, especially with a packed 174-player field of talent. This is especially true with the pressure from the approaching biennial tournament surrounding the golf cosmos. Hence, when Shane Lowry (T18), Justin Rose (T36), Matt Fitzpatrick (T18), Robert MacIntyre (T45), and Nicolai Højgaard (T64) completed their tournament, it was a morale booster for the team.

Apart from the talented golfers, captain Luke Donald also registered his name among those who played all four rounds. The veteran professional finished at T36 on 5-under par. If these results weren’t spirit-boosting enough, the confidence showcased by each player prior to the Ryder Cup ensures a promising performance.
