The PGA Tour has entered a new phase. In a shocking turn of events, the league announced an agreement with SSG. This deal is supposed to rejuvenate the status of the traditional league against LIV Golf. However, a European pro has raised some questions over the PGA Tour Fenway deal.
Surprisingly, the fans are also speaking in favor of the European pro. To dive deeper into the subject requires understanding about the deal finalized between the PGA Tour and Strategic Sports Group. Only then will the plea of the DP World Tour player come forward.

Today, Jay Monahan revealed the details of the deal in a conference call. The agreement was finalized on January 30, with the SSG investing in the PGA Tour Enterprises. This new entity will manage all the commercial interests of the traditional league. But the interesting aspect of this new entity is the $900 million equity players will be getting.
And where does the EUROPEAN TOUR stand in all of this???? 🧐 https://t.co/nLMkLVNBni

Players in the traditional league will benefit from the PGA Tour Fenway deal. However, this has raised the eyebrows of many players on the DP World Tour.
Pablo Larrazabal, who plays solely on the DP World Tour, made a post on X, stating, “We can confirm that a deal between the @PGATOUR and the Strategic Sports group is done. But where is the DP World tour in the deal? Is it beneficial to us? What is going to do to us? Well, we will see, I hope.”

This statement garnered the support of many golf fans, who took to the internet to voice their opinions. And their solutions point toward the Saudis.
Fans agree with the plea of the European pro
After the news of the PGA Tour Fenway deal surfaced on the internet, DPWT fans started to have doubts about the same. A fan believed the European circuit had just become a feeder to the PGA Tour.
Still a feeder tour.

A fan even speculated this sidelining from the traditional league will force the DP World Tour to look towards LIV Golf.
The largest sponsors of Euro Tour is DP World HQ in Dubai. Their CEO Sultan is BFF 👯♀️ with PIF CEO Yasir. LIV will create a partnership with DP World

Another fan shared the same opinion, claiming the European circuit has become an afterthought for the PGA Tour.
Ripe for a LIV takeover. The European Tour is an afterthought for the PGAT. Some much history and fan support that the PGAT just ignores.

Interestingly, a fan praised Adrian Meronk for switching over to LIV before the downfall of DPWT. They claimed the league has become “forgotten and fu**** over.”
It doesn’t. As I said. Forgotten and fucked over. Just shows what a great decision Adrian Meronk made last minute.

A fan claimed while the European league has a chance to survive by joining hands with the Saudis, they still won’t take it.
They have a chance ( which they won’t take), to become a major tour again . Merge with LIV. LIV adjusts team schedule. LIV players get OWGR. DP sponsors & TV get events with Rahm, Hatton, Brooks etc. That happens and you’ll see guys like Fleetwood and Hovland come home.
