Today, Jay Monahan revealed the details of the deal in a conference call. The agreement was finalized on January 30, with the SSG investing in the PGA Tour Enterprises. This new entity will manage all the commercial interests of the traditional league. But the interesting aspect of this new entity is the $900 million equity players will be getting.

Players in the traditional league will benefit from the PGA Tour Fenway deal. However, this has raised the eyebrows of many players on the DP World Tour.

Pablo Larrazabal, who plays solely on the DP World Tour, made a post on X, stating, We can confirm that a deal between the @PGATOUR and the Strategic Sports group is done. But where is the DP World tour in the deal? Is it beneficial to us? What is going to do to us? Well, we will see, I hope.”

Fans agree with the plea of the European pro

After the news of the PGA Tour Fenway deal surfaced on the internet, DPWT fans started to have doubts about the same. A fan believed the European circuit had just become a feeder to the PGA Tour.

A fan even speculated this sidelining from the traditional league will force the DP World Tour to look towards LIV Golf.

Another fan shared the same opinion, claiming the European circuit has become an afterthought for the PGA Tour.

Interestingly, a fan praised Adrian Meronk for switching over to LIV before the downfall of DPWT. They claimed the league has become “forgotten and fu**** over.”
