Tiger Woods has indubitably been one of the best athletes that the sports world has seen. Although the legend of golf has been on a hiatus from the game owing to his injury and the subsequent surgery, a lot of fans and followers from the golf world have been hopeful of the professional’s recovery from the same.
The golfer was spotted, a little while ago, with his son as he geared up for an upcoming tournament. However, after seeing the professional on the course, curiosity naturally started to arise in the golf community, about the return of the Hall of Famer into the sport no less!

Woods has been absent from the course for a long time after the accident he suffered in 2021. Following the same, he made his return to the game at the 2023 Masters Tournament. However, he could only finish T47 registering 301(+13). Moreover, the 47-year-old was forced to withdraw from the 2023 major on account of his plantar fasciitis, leading to an extended period of break.
However, despite all of that, the 82X PGA Tour winner has managed to recover to a great extent as he was spotted carrying the bags for his son, Charlie Woods, a number of times including the Last Chance Florida Regional (Boys). The 14-year-old’s victory at the 14-15 division of the event saw him qualify for the Notah Begay III Junior Golf Championship at Coushatta, where the father-son duo was witnessed, once more, engaging in a practice round.
However, the appearance of the 15X major champion did raise a lot of curiosity as TWLEGION, a fan page dedicated to Woods uploaded a post regarding the same. The Tweet mentioned the comeback of Mr. T all the while urging its followers to “start talking about the return of Tiger Woods,” while subtly alluding to how the legend is healthy to do the same.

Well, the community did not just stay still after such a post as many went ahead to respond under the same. Even the 82X PGA Tour winner would not have realized that many were expecting his resurgence in the sport.
Woods’ return raises curiosity in the golf world
As the post was uploaded on Twitter, many in the community took up the opportunity to present their opinions and thoughts on when the 3X U.S. Open winner would make a comeback. There were responses ranging from people who expressed their eagerness to watch him play to those who predicted his return. Let us take a look at some of these comments.

A lot of enthusiasts used to watch the game to see Mr. T in action. Following his hiatus from the game, many did not continue watching the sport except for the prestigious Ryder Cup. And, an ardent fan of the legend did express his hope of seeing the 15X Major champ in action once again.

The recent video of the father caddying for his 14-year-old son raised a lot of hope amongst many in the community. An enthusiast did point out the same all the while conveying his joy at witnessing the golfer walking on the greens while carrying his son’s bags.

He managed to pull off a record-breaking win against Rocco Mediate despite suffering from a battered ACL and two stress fractures. However, reality checks can often be disappointing. And, an enthusiast decided to be the rational thought amidst the speculative comments as he pointed out how “unfair” it is to expect the 82X PGA Tour winner to come back to his prime all the while giving the golfer enough credit for his accolades.
There is no return, he’ll play again of course – but he is broken. He’s the best there ever was, but it’s unfair to expect “his return” .
