Kevin Kisner steps up during Helene's havoc—Is he the hero golf needs right now?

He promised… He delivered!! And in the process, made an unforgettable memory. Sure enough, we are talking about the eccentric Kevin Kisner and his recent topless antics at the 2024 Presidents Cup, all thanks to a vow he made to Max Homa. But now, the U.S. team’s assistant captain seems to have decided to keep another of his promises, one that pertains to his foundation and the recent Helene tragedy!

The golfer shared a story on his Instagram handle about a “Hurricane Helene Relief Concert,” that is scheduled for October 5, Saturday. The musical performance, at the same time, will take place at Electric Eats (Downstairs) in Aiken Alley, South Carolina from 7:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Seems like the people who were hard hit by the hurricane can breathe a bit easier now with the help that’s coming their way.

The golfer seems to have put on his philanthropic hat to help the victims of the tragic twist of Mother Nature. And how can you help him in doing it? Kisner, through the story, has urged people to “bring non-perishable items or donate to The Kisner Foundation Hurricane Relief Fund for the CSRA.”

On the other hand, for the music lover-cum-philanthropists, there are a total of three sessions set to take place at the Kevin Kisner Foundation’s event. The first performance will be done by ‘Magnificent Jam Revival’, which will kick off at 7:00 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m. The concert, meanwhile, will resume at 8:15 p.m. with a show by ‘Jojo Hermann and Sam Holt’ as they sing out their hearts till 10:15 p.m.

The final performance of the night will start at 10:30 p.m. after a 15-minute break. The last session, interestingly, will be led by ‘Mason Jars’, which will end as the clock strikes midnight. Seems like the assistant captain has decided to go all out for the relief of the victims of the tragic hurricane while following in the footsteps of Harold Varner III and Luke List.

Kevin Kisner is not the only golfer with a philanthropic heart

Harold Varner III, a native of North Carolina, decided to help out the victims the day after Hurricane Helene hit the western part of the state. The LIV Golf Pro, along with his team, donated chainsaws, fuel, parts, and generators, not to mention medical supplies from Charlotte. What’s more, he also took to his social media handle to raise awareness about the tragic situation that came about as a result of the storm.

Have an interesting take?

Another person on the list of golfers who helped out is none other than Luke List. The PGA Tour Pro, alongside fellow Augusta resident Henrik Norlander, decided to donate $500 for every birdie that they card at the Sanderson Farms Championship. Where will their efforts be focused? Well, they will be doing so to help out the local victims of the hurricane in Augusta, Georgia, where the two athletes reside. Quite an impressive decision by all three of the athletes, including Kevin Kisner. Take a bow, guys!
