Wyndham Clark emerges as the champion! The AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am had been hit with extreme weather conditions deeming it destructive, due to which the tourney was shortened to 54 holes. Interestingly, the decision to shorten the same helped Clark clinch a victory on the PGA Tour without striking the ball on the fourth day of the second signature event of the circuit.
The golfer had carded a total of 17 under with scores of 72-67-60 to clinch the well-deserved victory. The third day of the event even saw him card his lowest-ever numbers in his career and the course record for the tournament as well at Pebble Beach Golf Links.

Just as everyone thought the signature event would be delayed, nature one-ups the circuit. Nevertheless, it proved advantageous for the 30-year-old, who was able to clinch his third victory on the PGA Tour, the last of which came at the 2023 U.S. Open. However, what prompted the circuit to do the same?
A statement was shared by the men’s circuit disclosing how a “storm affecting the Monterey Peninsula” on Sunday is also predicted to continue onto Monday along with “very strong winds.” The decision to shorten the event was made after consulting with the emergency authorities of Monterey County.
The officials of the county have also “implemented a Shelter in Place order” until Monday morning for the Pebble Beach community. Moreover, the play that was set on the 5th was canceled in a bid to ensure an abundance of caution for the players, staff, and fans alike.

Regardless, it isn’t as if the fans were not able to witness world-class performances, especially from Clark. His 12-under 60 came from a total of nine birdies, two eagles, and a single bogey, enabling him to beat the likes of Matthias Schwab, Patrick Cantlay, David Duval, and Tom Kite. It truly was a nerve-racking event on the PGA Tour!
