Although golf wouldn’t be able to beat other sports in terms of it being physically demanding, it is nevertheless a strenuous game. And, it is even more so for someone like Tiger Woods, who just made a comeback a little while back, from his long hiatus owing to health problems. But even so, in the most serious of cases, there is a solution for the golfer in need.

The existence of golf carts on the course has undoubtedly helped many people on the greens from overexerting themselves. However, although Mr. T’s opinion against using the same has been a popular topic of discussion over the years, one can’t help but wonder – will the recovering Hall of Famer resort to a cart during the upcoming PNC Championship if they allow him to do so?

To use or not to use: a Tiger Woods’s dilemma

The 15X major champ had been through a lot of physical hardships over the past two years because of his accident and subsequent injuries and surgeries resulting in the break from golf. However, he was able to make a comeback to the game at the Hero World Challenge, after which he revealed his plans to strive more for a complete recovery. But even so, curiosity arises amongst concerned fans as to whether he would be allowed to use a cart at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club and if he would use it if he was permitted to do so.

Since the upcoming event is run by the PGA Tour Champions, the players part of the field with their families are allowed to use the cart. But, whether he would actually use it this time around is a different case. However, recalling the previous year’s tournament, the American had made use of the vehicle owing to his plantar fasciitis as he played through the pain at the competition.

Well, would he this time around? The answer would lean towards a ‘NO‘ from the 82X PGA Tour champ if he looks at just his health while making the decision. What’s more, he had earlier revealed how he was “not concerned at all about walking” the course at the Albany Golf Club during the previous tournament. And, adding on, the 47-year-old had also indicated the pain-free state of his ankle, after which he proceeded to play out the four days at the Hero World Challenge without a cart.

However, the answer might vary if the professional considers other things. Moreover, surprisingly, one might even be able to spot the legend on the vehicle with his son Charlie Woods, since the event is not part of the PGA Tour!

The 1997 Masters Tournament champ had always been vocal about his opinion against using assistance on the greens for the PGA Tour-sanctioned tournaments. Moreover, the men’s circuit also does not allow its golfers to do so unless and until a valid medical reason is provided. However, for an event like the PNC Championship, the 47-year-old has a different view.

The golfer has no qualms about using the carts since the special tournament allows its field to utilize the same. What’s more, he had even mentioned how the community “wouldn’t be able to see the likes of Lee Trevino and Gary Player out here” in the “different” and “fun event” if they did not allow the carriage of sorts. Continuing, the golfer said, “To be able to play with their child in this event, having a cart allows them to do that,” all the while expressing the need to have fun during the PNC Championship.

Well, there you go. The legend would never have resorted to a golf cart if it was a PGA Tour event. However, since he would be playing with his son, in a fun event that allows the use of carts, we might see a different side of the professional. All eyes would surely be on him!
