A legend on the greens! That is exactly what Lee Trevino can be called, owing to the accolades that the golfer has accumulated throughout his career. With a total of 92 professional wins, including six majors on the PGA Tour and 29 victories on the PGA Tour Champions, the senior pro was able to leave a long-lasting mark on the game. However, the athlete couldn’t have done it alone, could he?

Although the skills that he has showcased on the greens have helped him garner many feats, the tools that aided the golfer should also be given a special mention. And now, as the legend makes his appearance again on the course at the PNC Championship, it is natural to become curious about the equipment that would help the retired pro in the event!

The 84-year-old is all set to battle against the field of parents and children with his son, Daniel Trevino, at the special event. Moreover, he would be hoping to finish at the top after a commendable start. But, even as the athlete strives to display his skills, one can’t help but look at the exquisite equipment that helps him on the greens.

The 29X PGA Tour champ used to carry a Ping G400 driver in his bag, which offered a lot of stability to the athlete back then. Moreover, the club that was lofted at 10.5 degrees costs $259.99. Although not a lot of details have been given as to the shaft used back then, the retired golfer currently uses the AutoFlex shaft with his current Mavrik driver at the PNC Championship.

Although not much has been revealed about the fairways the 6X major winner made use of back in 2018, it was widely known that he would prefer high-lofted fairway woods, including 5-, 6-, or 7-woods. Moreover, the retired pro revealed a while back about the kind of shafts he uses for the same at the ongoing event, the lightweight Project X Cypher fairway wood shafts marked at $210.74.

The 2X PGA Championship winner, back then, used a Callaway Steelhead XR for his hybrids while making use of the Callaway Epic Pro for the rest of his irons. While the former costs $64.99 and above, the latter set is priced at $399. However, during the ongoing tournament, the senior pro has turned to the Mizuno irons attached to the KBS Players Graphite Iron 70-gram shafts.

The 29X PGA Tour Champions winner’s choices used to fall on the Cleveland Rotex 2.0 Custom for his wedges, marked at $149.99, and the Titleist Vokey SM7 club stamped “Mex” for his 60-degree wedges. Meanwhile, the latter is priced at $175 and offers extra spin and control over the ball in every shot. However, the golfer has since turned to the Mike Taylor-designed Artisan wedges with his logo, “Super Mex,” stamped on them for the PNC Championship.

While not much has been revealed about the legend’s choice of putters back then, he currently uses either the original L.A.B. Golf with a custom forward leaning shaft covered with a SuperStroke 1.0 grip or the Scotty Cameron Phantom X 5.5 mallet attached to a Scotty-Cameron grip. The former costs more than most drivers, starting at $559, while the latter is marked at $429.
