John Daly and Bryson DeChambeau's anger—Is violence ruining the spirit of sports and public events?

Truly unfortunate! What else can be said about the incident that took place at the campaign rally of the 45th President of the United States in Pennsylvania? A spectator had reportedly shot Donald Trump which caused him to injure his ear, as a result. And being a close-knit person with the golfing community, many including LIV Golf Pro Bryson DeChambeau had expressed their concern for the 78-year-old. Well now, it’s none other than John Daly who has come forward to react to the whole episode!

The 58-year-old shared a story on his Instagram handle tagging the former POTUS. He furiously pointed out how Trump is one of the toughest men I(sic) know!” Moreover, the senior pro also went ahead to bless the politician and his family before expressing worry for the people who attended the rally; “Sending out prayers to the fallen attendees! This is devastating – our revenge coming in November at the polls!”

DeChambeau, meanwhile, had taken to his X handle to convey his worry for Trump and respond to the whole situation. The golfer, shockingly so, mentioned how “Violence deserves no place in this world,” while alluding to the presidential rally shooting. He then expressed his best wishes to the businessman and his family before wishing for his speedy recovery.

Even athletes from outside golf took to talk about the whole event before sharing a few words in support of Trump. Evan Alder, a UFC fighter, after beating Darius Flowers via submission, said in his Octagon interview, “I heard they just tried to whack my boy Trump. I’m glad that man’s okay. Long live Trump. Let’s go, baby. Trump 2024.”

Coming back to the whole incident, Donald Trump was rushed from the stage and provided with immediate care following the same. Interestingly, such an incident would surely prove to be nothing short of shocking for an admirer of the golf enthusiast ex-POTUS, as can be seen by Daly’s response.

John Daly and Donald Trump; the golfer’s admiration for the former POTUS

Throughout his career, the senior golfer has played in a lot of golf courses, including several of those designed by Trump. And Daly, ahead of the upcoming Staysure PGA Seniors Championship that will take place at Trump International Links in Aberdeenshire, had conveyed his exhilaration for the same, “I’m excited to see Trump Aberdeen. I’m playing in the tournament because everything Trump does is first-class when it comes to golf. His courses are just immaculate.”
