The WM Phoenix Open was fortuitous for Adam Hadwin. The Canadian golfer registered a spectacular T9 in Arizona with a score of 14 under par across the four days. This was Hadwin’s best performance on the PGA Tour this season, having competed in 5 of the 6 events so far.

Hadwin, who bore a fresh-shaven look for the Phoenix Open, scored an impressive 5 under par on the last round and registered his first top 10 finish on the tour since the Memorial tournament held in June 2024. While Hadwin was perfecting his swing and nailing his putts, his family was involved in a very funny incident. Jessica Hadwin, his wife, shared a video on X stating, “The beard clean up has caused an existential crisis in our lil family.”

The family was seated in the living room and watching the Phoenix Open. Maddox Amelia Hadwin had an observation that brought laughter and joy to the entire household. “That is not my daddy!” exclaimed the 5-year-old, after seeing Adam Hadwin without a beard.

And to be fair to Maddox Hadwin, it was not just her that was confused. Several fans who were watching the WM Phoenix Open were also stupefied, by the new-look Hadwin. A netizen replied to Jessica’s video with a tidbit of their own. “I was watching and thought, that’s not Adam!! Grow it back!!,” demanded the user comically.

With or without the beard, it is great to see Adam Hadwin’s family enjoying a light-hearted moment. And maybe the clean-shaven look could be a lucky omen for the Canadian golfer, considering his improved performance. But no matter what, his family is there to support him.
