Following the conclusion of the first leg of the FedEx playoff on Sunday, there has been much discussion surrounding both the event itself and the victor, Lucas Glover. With a remarkable total score of under-15, Glover achieved a notable triumph. However, like many other athletes, the 43-year-old golfer has faced his own fears before finally improving his abilities.

Glover has long harbored a fear of missing putts, leading him to seek considerable assistance in overcoming it. In a recent confession ahead of the $20 million FedEx Showdown, he revealed the extensive measures he took to combat his nervousness and ensure he doesn’t miss the easiest putt on the greens.

Off lately, fans have likely noticed a significant improvement in Glover’s performance on the course. As the esteemed champion of the 2009 U.S. Open, he has consistently been recognized as one of the game’s leading ball-strikers. This is since his debut on the professional tour in 2004.

However, the American Professional golfer had been grappling with a concerning lack of consistency in his putting skills. It was during this period that he engaged in a constructive conversation with Jason Kuhn, a former college baseball pitcher, who later became a Navy SEAL, through a virtual Zoom call. This interaction aimed to help Glover conquer his fear and enhance his putting abilities.

Golf Digest took to Instagram to share this video confession of Glover and wrote, “Lucas Glover’s clutch putting came from an unlikely source.” In the video, the six-time PGA Tour winner revealed that Kuhn’s suggestion had a profound impact on his mindset, enabling him to adopt a typical approach of maintaining composure and staying calm during his putting.
