It looks like PGA Tour legend Bernhard Langer is recovering from his Achilles tear. The player suffered this injury while playing pickleball during a training exercise at Boca Raton. The 66-year-old explained, “I heard this huge ‘pop,’ very loud, like a gunshot. I knew right away it was a torn Achilles.” Just the day after this incident, he opted for repair surgery. Now, two months later, the German golfer is chipping and putting, according to an Instagram post on the PGA Tour’s official page.

The golf legend displayed happy emotions in his recently posted picture carrying his golf club, ready to hit the ball once again! Undoubtedly, this is a good sign of his recovery, but the 42-time DP World Tour winner will remain sidelined for a couple of months. His expected return will be at the Insperity Invitational on the PGA Tour Champions in May.

With his legendary wins in the Masters in 1985 and 1993, the golfer wanted this year’s to be his last; however, his injury delayed this farewell for next year. The golfer underwent immediate surgery and was in recovery; hence, he could not play. Even if the 2-time Masters champion is not playing in the 88th Masters, he is still a part of one of its traditions.
