The PNC Championship saw a rising star gathering all the attention, and it was not a player but his dog. Justin Thomas‘s dog, Franklin, had all the surrounding buzz at the opening round. Thomas brought him and showed him around the golf course, and introduced him to Tiger Woods and his daughter and to everyone else.

The dog was the center of attention but Thomas is not the only dog dad on the PGA Tour, as many other pros also cherish their bond with their pet child. Here are three pet parents from the PGA and LPGA Tour with their dogs.

1. Brooks Koepka and Cove: Brooks Koepka is a proud dog dad, and he loves his girl Cove a lot as he shares her pictures on his Instagram. Cove is a black Labrador parented by Koepka and his wife, Jena Sims. The couple often spends quality time with Cove and share their precious moment on socials.

Cove, turned 7 years old last month and probably had her birthday celebrated in private with her parents. The black lab was born on 9th November 2017 and the couple adopted her right after it. She has been part of Koepka’s wins and losses, including the PGA Championship victory of Koepka.

2. Collin Morikawa and Koa: Collin Morikawa has a Multi-gen Goldendoodle and his name is Koa. The dog has been adopted by Morikawa on 10th February 2021. Koa has been part of the family since he was just a few days old, as Morikawa shared the news by making him an Instagram account.

He was born in the same month as February and has been an active Instagram user. Dog’s dad named his Instagram account Koa.the.doodle, where he frequently poses with his trophies, goes through morning walks, and various other trips to the beach and back. The doodle is an important part of Morikawa’s life, and they share a precious bond.

3. Jessica Korda and DelPrete: The second pet child of Jessica Korda is a Mini Goldendoodle, named Charlie DelPrete, taking the last name of Korda’s husband. DelPrete has been in the family since 2018 and was born around October 2017. The doodle is 6 years old and the love of Korda’s life.

He also has his own Instagram page, which is handled by her mom, Jessica, and dad, Johnny DelPrete. Charlie lives a peaceful life with his parents in Jupiter, Florida, and is waiting for her human sibling, who is a few days away.
