Domination redefined: The Scheffler Show of 2024! This is especially true considering the six victories Scottie Scheffler carded this season. And four of those, interestingly, came at the elevated events all the while topping the OWGR. But then, what about the other professionals who stand in stark contrast to the 12-time PGA Tour champ?

Scheffler managed to score a total of 311.57 points from the seven signature events he played. That being said, it naturally raises curiosity about the other known names on the circuit who failed to make a mark at the tournaments, including the likes of current world No. 6, Viktor Hovland.

1. Viktor Hovland: The Norwegian hasn’t had much of a good run in 2024, especially when it comes to the signature events. The golfer could only garner a figure of 18.30465 points from 7 of the eight elevated tournaments he participated in. Moreover, the pro only has one top-10 finish in 2024, that too at a major, the PGA Championship.

2. Matt Fitzpatrick: The current world No. 20 started off the year at the 8th position on the Official World Golf Rankings. A total of four missed cuts and just three top-10 finishes from 16 starts pushed him down the standings. Out of the three, he boasts only one top-10 finish at the elevated tournaments, a T5 at the Memorial Tournament Presented by Workday. The golfer, as a result, could only rake in 20.98345 points from all eight of those events.

3. Akshay Bhatia: The 22-year-old, despite a win at the Valero Texas Open, failed to make the list of the top 30 golfers who amassed the most OWGR points from the signature events. He took part in only 5 of the eight elevated tournaments while finishing inside the top 10 in only one of them, a T5 at the 2024 Travelers Championship. This brings his total points tally from the five events to 22.54734, placing him at No. 29 on the world rankings.

4. Jordan SpiethHe kicked off the Sentry at No. 15 in the OWGR and carded a T3 at the same. But as fate would have it, the American Pro failed to replicate his scintillating performance in the rest of the events. He missed the cut five times this season while even getting disqualified at a signature event, the Genesis Invitational. Although he did play all of the elevated tournaments, his figures of 28.39261 portray a stark contrast to Scheffler’s 311.57.

5. Lucas Glover: Despite playing in all eight contests, the 44-year-old, like many on the field, failed to put up an amazing display of golf. The American Pro, consequently, could only garner 11.28448 points from the signature events. This played a major role in pushing him down to the 40th spot on the OWGR, despite him starting off the season at No. 30.

These are but some of the few well-known PGA Tour Pros who failed to leave a mark at the signature events of the 2024 calendar. The professionals can only hope to dish out a better performance in the coming season, regardless of the scores they put up this time around.
