Finishing T7 at the BMW PGA Championship, Rory McIlroy has had his usual success and troubles on the English greens. While he has been exceptional in maintaining control over his game scoring 13-under par, there are aspects of the shots he touched upon that bring out a concern from the golfer. This thought was presented in light of the upcoming Ryder Cup.

During a press conference at the latest tournament, McIlroy was asked about his confidence in his current gameplay. Despite feeling a little weary regarding the same, the 34-year-old felt that the recent tournament has provided better results on this front. Acknowledging that he has finally started “playing away from those misses,” the matter that eased out everything was knowing if he was “going to miss it in the right spot.

However, his outlook remained angled toward eradicating these to be as minimal as possible. At last, the 24-time PGA Tour winner insisted on the role consistency has in the success of an individual, reverting back to his “management of shots” thought process.
