Justin Thomas who once won the said tournament in the year 2017, is once again aiming to give it his best in the tournament. However, he has been struggling with poor form this year, and is on the verge of not getting an entry in the playoffs. Luckily, for his first nine events, the American Professional golfer was able to make seven top-25 finishes. Following that, his performance began to deteriorate as he failed to make the cut in the Masters. Moving forward, the former World No 1 even failed to make the cut in the US Open and then the Open Championship.

All in all, Thomas has missed five cuts in the last seven events that he has played in. For the most recent tournament (3M Open), he couldn’t get a chance to prove himself as he failed to make the cut again. This has landed him outside of the FedEx Cup Playoff bubble.

The Wyndham Championship is the only remaining option for him to receive an entry. But will he be able to make a strong run?

This says it all: If the 2017 FedEx Cup champion is to earn a berth, he must score a solo 18th finish at the Wyndham Championship. However, given that he had poor performances at the previous event, it seems he will have to struggle a lot this time as well.

Thomas’ previous performances at the Wyndham Championship

Presently, the odds to win in the Wyndham Championship for Justin Thomas is +3300, which ties for the fourth-best position. If we talk about his previous performances, JT hasn’t performed in the event since 2016. For the last two tournaments, he had a poor finish by achieving 56th and 78th positions respectively.
