Adam Hadwin has seen his fair share of bad luck on the course. It would be hard to forget the image of the golfer being tackled down to the ground by a security guard at the 2023 RBC Canadian Open. Fast forward a year later, and the misfortune seems to have clung to him as trouble found the athlete ahead of the 2024 edition of the event.

A tweet was shared by NUCLR GOLF  on X (formerly Twitter) mentioning how Canadian golf star Adam Hadwin isn’t happy with AirCanada.” The handle also reposted two of the 36-year-old’s posts that he shared on his social media, divulging the reason behind his dissatisfaction with the airlines.

The PGA Tour pro took to his X handle (Formerly Twitter) to complain against the largest airline in Canada after their actions separated the athlete from his golf clubs. “I know most of you feel the same way I am right now when airlines mess up,” expressed Hadwin before expressing his displeasure at his equipment being stuck in Denver; I’ve been dealing with @AirCanada all day trying to get me clubs out of Denver. Been told one thing only for something else to happen. At this point, they have sat in Denver for 20 hours without making it”

His wife, Jessica Hadwin, made sure to show off her funny side as she replied, “Me headed to get Adam’s clubs from Denver” while posting a Gif of a car flying on to the highway. Soon after, Hadwin replied to his own tweet as an update to the incident. He revealed how the clubs are now on another flight going to Toronto before being evidently dissatisfied at the same: “Onto another flight to Toronto. Unacceptable. It’s not as if Denver and Toronto are remote. Airlines need to do better.”

The 2017 Valspar Championship winner was gearing up to play the 2024 RBC Canadian Open at the Hamilton Golf and Country Club in Ontario when he faced an unfortunate situation leading to his equipment being separated from him.

The unlucky experience comes a year after he was tackled to the ground by a security guard for attempting to celebrate Nick Taylor’s 2023 win at the RBC Canadian Open. After a thrilling playoff between Taylor and Tommy Fleetwood in which the former beat the latter to end a 69-year-long drought for his country, Hadwin rushed to the greens to spray champagne on his fellow countryman. The result? The security at Oakdale Golf and Country Club mistook the golfer as a law-breaking citizen leading to the athlete finding himself on the ground.

Although the incident a year ago seems to be truly hilarious at the moment, the current one is anything but so. Another incident had taken place in Canada leading to a pro golfer being forced to put together another set of clubs.

Hadwin isn’t the first to experience this unfortunate situation

Quinn Riley found himself without his equipment while heading into a qualifier for the Québec Open in Cowansville Canada back in 2023. Sources indicate how it was Spirit Airlines that lost the golfer his reported $100,000 worth of clubs. The airlines, however, tried to replace the set with another set which was met with dissatisfaction.

The pro, fortunately, was able to piece himself some clubs from players and members who were more than willing to help him out with the same. While such a situation does seem possible for Hadwin as well, the fans would be hoping that he gets his original clubs back in time for the athlete’s tee time on Thursday.
