Earlier in 2019, JT found out about a mole on his left leg’s skin. It was meant to show early signs of skin cancer known as melanoma. Once after going ahead with surgery to remove it, JT also shared a glimpse of the large scar post-operation on Instagram with his fans.

He also appealed to each follower to visit the doctor for a routine checkup as soon as possible. Melanoma occurs when you expose yourself to direct sunlight for longer periods without any sun protection cream on your body. Hence, he took control of his life with his own brand, WearSPF.

Recently, Justin Thomas took to his Instagram and shared a reel by the brand itself promoting a healthy lifestyle by applying sunscreen. He was celebrating the launch of a new product – Vitamin C Body Lotion. It promises to hydrate your skin after intense exposure to the sunlight.

Justin Thomas also has a small message for his fans on his official website of the brand. “If you spend time outdoors, it’s vital to protect your skin. WearSPF is a high-performance skincare collection that does just that — apply it, re-apply it, and re-apply again so wearing sunscreen is par for the course. With WearSPF on your team, the sun hasn’t got a chance.”

The company is in direct collaboration with the Justin Thomas Foundation, and all proceeds from the former go to the latter. A small discovery saved JT from a series of painful treatments and prompted him to take a step further in this direction. The golf world is still determining if he will also be as cautious with his game in Rome.

JT – a controversial Ryder Cup pick

While some players confessed it’s difficult to imagine Team USA without Justin Thomas on the sheet, many expected him to be absent this year, simply because he has not had a great season. But the skipper’s debatable picks resulted in his inclusion in the team.

During the Fortinet Championship, though, he proved his critics wrong with a stellar performance, where he achieved the 114th eagle of his entire career and surpassed other players in that timeline. It was in contrast to his earlier performances, where he missed several cuts this season.
