After an enthralling week at the Wells Fargo Championship, the PGA Tour moves to AT&T Byron Nelson. TPC Craig Ranch, McKinney in Texas, is the host of this event. Furthermore, the field has plenty of star players, who want to get some match practice before getting into the PGA Championship next week.

This year the field has Justin Thomas, Dustin Johnson, Hideki Matsuyama, Jordan Spieth, and others. And most of these golfers have had a decent start to the event so far. However, the round one leader Sebastian Munoz has a lead of four strokes as he shot 60 and remained -12 for the event.
Meanwhile, Justin Thomas carded -4 and is T27 after round one, while Hideki Matsuyama and Dustin Johnson are T13 with a score of -5. The 2022 Masters champion Scottie Scheffler and Jordan Spieth is also at the same spot with an identical score.

The 2022 AT&T Byron Nelson has a prize money purse of $9.1 million. Moreover, the winner of the event will receive around $1,638,000, which is the standard 18 percent payout according to the PGA Tour’s prize money distribution chart.
Additionally, apart from monetary benefits, the tournament has other perks available, especially for the winner. The winner of the event will receive 500 FedExCup points and 52 OWGR points. Moreover, the winner will also receive a two-season exemption on the PGA Tour and qualification for the 2023 Masters and 2022 PGA Championship.
