In 2019, the equipment brand TaylorMade announced a deal with the Fowler. The agreement allowed Fowler to use the brand’s golf balls and gloves. At Farmers Insurance in 2019, the pro played with a TP5x golf ball for the first time. He chose ball number 15, as the number represented his motocross bike while he was growing up in Southern California.
A TP5x is a five-piece ball with a urethane cover for an enhanced greenside spin. However, the brand’s CEO, David Abeles, was delighted to have him on the team. He said, “We are extremely excited to welcome Rickie to the TaylorMade family. He is one of the great athletes in the game today.” The brand is trending as earlier this year, Nelly Korda also signed a multi-year deal with TaylorMade.
