In almost two months, many golfers such as Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, and Brooks Koepka have expressed their feelings silently toward the merger since actions do speak louder than words.

Now, it is the 2022 Masters winner: Jon Rahm’s turn and he is using his words. His thoughts about the decision are coming in after a long period of time. Let us find out what he had to say about the amalgamation worth $3 billion.

The merger decision came as a surprise to the entire list of golfers in both the involved leagues. Even so, the biggest players on the PGA Tour such as Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy were also kept in the dark about this landmark decision. The suggestions and opinions of such senior players on the Tour were not even taken into consideration. This created a lot of mayhem around the merger, and fans and golfers were not too elated about it.

Now, according to the popular Twitter page, Flushing It, Jon Rahm, did a podcast with ‘Golf Sin Etiquetas’ and talked about the PGA Tour and LIV Golf deal. The Spaniard spoke that before the announcement was made live on the internet, he got a call from someone from the Tour just two minutes prior to that and was informed about the deal. The golfer said, “I thought it was a joke.”

Expressing his feelings further, he said that the two leagues should have been one right from the beginning. But, instead what happened was that a division was created, and now they are coming together. He also said that he hopes that the involved parties do reach an agreement together because “LIV will continue.”

Extending further on his LIV Golf’s continuation remark, the Spanish golfer discussed the LIV golfers, and what he thinks about their return to the PGA Tour.
