Though Patrick Reed is one of the most talented players on the professional circuit, the golfer has yet to transcend the high amount of unnecessary hate. The LIV Golf star again encountered a group of hecklers at the ongoing PGA Championship. However, this time, Reed’s team member had a stern message for the haters on the spot.
After finishing tied for 4th place in last month’s Masters, Patrick is currently struggling at the Oak Hill Country Club. The golfer has failed to shine at the event this year, with plenty of bogeys. To add more misery to his struggles, the LIV star was called out by one of the spectators. Nonetheless, he was defended by his brother-in-law, who had a vile response for the hater.

No more hate for Patrick Reed, thanks to his team
Reed began the second major of the season with a 2-over-par round, followed by a +1 in the second round. However, he then recorded 1 under par in the penultimate round, further closing the gap among the leaders at the PGA Championship. Nonetheless, the LIV star began his final round with a bogey on the par-4 6th hole.
While his struggles at the Oak Hill Country Club continued, one of the viewers heckled the golfer, according to CBS’ reporter Kyle Porter. “It’s a tough putt, Patrick. You have to mark it where the ball is”, yelled the fan, as per Porter, while indirectly taking a jibe at Reed’s controversial cheating allegations from the past.
A fan just yelled “it’s a tough putt, Patrick. You have to mark it where the ball is,” and Kessler turned around and flipped him off.

Though the 2018 Masters winner chose to ignore the hater, his brother-in-law, Kessler Karain, who also happens to be his caddie, decided to flip off the spectator. Whether the caddie received another response from the hater is unclear, but the message was stern and vile enough for the hatred towards the golfer to end.
Nonetheless, as Patrick Reed’s chance to end his professional win drought looks to further diminish, he would require more assistance from his caddie regarding the sport than just moral support. However, this isn’t the first time that Kessler Karain has defended his brother-in-law.

Patrick Reed’s caddie was suspended after an altercation with a fan
Similar to the recent incident at the PGA Championship, Reed also underwent a similar heckle from fans at the 2019 Presidents Cup. One of the spectators in Australia shouted, ‘You f******’ suck’ at the 30-year-old golfer. To defend him, Kessler Karain got off the golf cart and headed toward the spectator.

He then shoved the hater before using loud, explicit language to warn the critic. While the incident sounds quite familiar with the recent one at Oak Hill Country Club, here the caddie instead used body language, not his voice, to release his frustration towards the hater.

And with Karain being suspended from the Presidents Cup due to his infamous incident four years ago, he wouldn’t want to face a similar circumstance at the PGA Championship. Was Patrick Reed’s caddie right for flipping off a spectator? What do you think? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
