However, it didn’t come without its own shreds of controversy. Once accused of making hand gestures to help his playing partners, Koepka couldn’t help but make another one at the Oak Hill course. But it was meant for his once-foe, Bryson DeChambeau.

What did Brooks Koepka signal to Bryson DeChambeau at the PGA Championship?
The four-time major championship winner was giving others a lesson in golfing with his stupendous display in the third round of the competition. Carding a four-under-par, Koepka was a delight to watch, as he rose to the top of the leaderboard effortlessly.
Occupying the best seats in the house to witness the show was none other than Bryson DeChambeau. The 2020 US Open champion was playing alongside his former adversary, but it seems like the pair have cooled the matter between them.

Indeed, during the inclement day, Koepka was seen making some hand signals for DeChambeau. A 16-second clip captured his actions, which seemed to be merely mocking his fellow LIV colleague to get on with his shot.

Was Brooks Koepka penalized for his hand gestures at the Masters?
While Koepka enjoyed a whirlwind Masters Tournament, it wasn’t without its arguments over another set of hand signals. The four-time major championship winner and his caddie, Ricky Elliot, were seen indicating the number ‘5’ to one of his playing partners, which caught the ire of the golf community.
Despite the organizing committee’s involvement, the final judgment cleared Koepka of any misdoing. The 33-year-old was leading at the 54-hole mark in the Masters as well, before succumbing in the final round to finish tied for second place.

But his recent hand gestures were directed towards DeChambeau. Once termed as eternal rivals on the PGA Tour, the duo loathed each other and didn’t make any efforts to hide their feelings.
Ironically, the feud gained greater heights at the PGA Championship itself. In the 2021 edition of the tournament, DeChambeau was seen yelling behind Koepka during the latter’s media coverage on the sidelines, which left him speechless.
However, it seems like the duo have rekindled ever since. Putting an end to the vendetta, Koepka revealed he and Koepka have ditched their ill feelings for the greater good on an Instagram Q&A. After yesterday’s ‘friendly’ actions, it seems he wasn’t bluffing after all.
