Why is Bryson DeChambeau in the headlines despite his lost lead?
There is no doubt that DeChambeau has shown an incomparable set of skills on the course in the initial round of the PGA Championship. The golfer held a really long lead during the first round; however, he later lost it to the PGA Tour star. Eric Cole, who notably, still has four more holes to play! Nonetheless, fans have been sticking to the live broadcast of the tournament, especially to see the golf scientist back in action.

Despite his commendable performance at Oak Hill, the golf star is in the news for another reason as of now. And a rather hilarious one! A recent interview picture of Bryson DeChambeau is currently making the rounds and receiving lots of attention from fans. And surprisingly, it has nothing to do with his golfing skills or talents.
They spelled Netjets wrong on Brysons Hat.

As seen in the picture posted by Monday Q Info, Bryson Dechambeau is wearing a cap that features the names of one of his sponsors and private jet giants, NetJets. The company was acquired by the $722.75 billion company, Berkshire Hathaway, a few years ago and has been associated with the golf hulk for quite some time. However, the catch was that the cap apparently displayed the name of the brand misspelled as ‘Netiets’. The observant fans, of course, quickly caught onto that and had lots to say!
Fans react to Bryson DeChambeau’s viral picture
Bryson DeChambeau’s picture has been trending on Twitter, garnering the undivided attention of golf fans. The golf star has been trolled several times in the past for countless reasons. And this has given the fans yet another excuse to, well, make jokes about him. In fact, some didn’t even hesitate to bring in the old “Brooksy” reference from his long-forgotten banter with Brooks Koepka.
Here’s what some of them had to say:
I think you may have misspelled his name too. Isn't it Brooksy? 😂

It’s the knock-off version…only $10
— Jon Doe (@Raptor1007) May 18, 2023
I saw this and literally googled “NETIETS” to see if there was some new product I was too old for.
— AlPena (@BGACommissioner) May 18, 2023
While some made fun of how such a huge company could make such a noticeable blunder, others joked that it was a “knock-off” version of the original sponsor.
I just assumed that Netiets was just another bad LIV Golf team name.

Pretty sure they could spell any word they want wrong on that hat and I'm still wearing it if they're a sponsor 🤣😂🤣😂

However, no matter how it was spelled, DeChambeau still chose to wear it anyway. Do you think he didn’t notice it’s misspelling? Or could it be something done on purpose? Let us know in the comments section!
