Koepka has been in the news ever since he took the lead on the scoreboard at the mega-event. And with so many players struggling to stay on top, it was no less than a surprise to see the LIV star make it to the end of the final round, leaving all others behind. In fact, he became the first ever LIV Golf player to win a major tournament.

Golf fans are looking at the golfer’s triumph as a gigantic achievement in itself. But you will be shocked to know how he has left some of the biggest golf legends behind with his massive feat. As per a recent tweet made by Justin Ray, Brooks Koepka’s PGA Championship win makes him the first player to win three major tournaments on three different courses in New York itself. And what makes it a lot more special is that none of the most respected players, not even Woods or Nicklaus, have been able to do this in their careers!

Not to forget, both the golf legends have 15 and 18 major wins to their names, respectively. But Koepka has somehow managed to steal the spotlight with his unique achievement.

Out of his 5 major championship wins, Koepka claimed the 2018 US Open title at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club, located in Long Island, New York. Later, he won the PGA Championship in 2019 at Bethpage, again in New York. And now, the player has made his mark on the Oak Hill East Course in the same city again!

Before Koepka made his final climb to first place, players including Scottie Scheffler and Bryson DeChambeau held the top spot for a while. It was almost a miracle when the LIV Golf star made his way up through the ranks with brilliant performances in the second and third rounds to claim the top spot ahead of the final round and maintain his lead on Sunday!

Scheffler, on the other hand, had to settle for a T2 finish along with Viktor Hovland, while DeChambeau had to make peace with his T4 position that he shared with two. Aside from these who ranked at the top, there were also many big names like Max Homa, Phil Mickelson, and Justin Thomas who didn’t even make it to the top 50 this week!
