The PGA Championship is underway for the 105th time in Rochester, New York. Unlike his usual positive starts to most Majors, Viktor Hovland began his first round at the Oak Hill Country Club with a bogey. To add more misery, golf fans on Twitter have taken over the authority of trolling the Norweigan golfer for his ever-unique attire.

Last month, Hovland outclassed his fellow pair Tiger Woods with a stunning 65 in the first round at the Masters. While he still has time to recover at the PGA Championship and imitate his performance from Augusta National, Hovland did have a similar kind of attire from last month’s Masters.

During the first round at the Masters, Hovland sported a $115 red-colored floral J. Lindeberg shirt. However, the golfer had a similarly styled attire for the PGA Championship with a combination of blue and orange.

With his longstanding deal with the Swedish company, the golfer continues to wear unique dressing. While some may question J. Lindeberg for their unusual designs, Viktor Hovland also deserves appreciation for his confidence in pulling off those attires.

Nonetheless, as World Number 11 teed off at the Oak Hill Country Club, he recorded two bogeys on the first three holes. To make matters worse for Viktor, fans on the internet showed no mercy with respect to his attire.

Golf fans verbally attack Hovland

Like the Masters, fans on Twitter shared their unfiltered humor while trolling the Norweigan golfer. One fan claimed that the golfer looked like he was representing the Dutch skating team, while another set of fans called out the Swedish sporting brand for its bizarre designs.

Though most golf fans hated the attire, some Twitter users applauded Viktor Hovland for his unique dressing sense.

Apart from the positive and negative thoughts, another group of fans took the route of humor while analyzing Hovland’s PGA Championship attire. One fan claimed that the jacket felt like it was sponsored for a LIV Golf team while another user felt it represented Formula One’s McLaren team.
