What started as a war between LIV Golf and the PGA Tour has evolved into a feud between Greg Norman, Tiger Woods, and Rory McIlroy. Woods and Rory are firmly opposed to the shark, who is spearheading the motion of the Saudi-backed side. Of late, the two have even suggested that a truce between LIV and the PGA was possible, but not with Norman.

Greg Norman claps back at Rory and Tiger

Recently, both Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy have suggested that for LIV Golf and the PGA Tour to sit down, Greg Norman would have to be out of the picture. The shark suggested that since the PGA Monopoly was being threatened, their side would “rear their ugly head up” and say and do whatever it wanted. He claimed that he had taken the high road through all the comments and hate. And that he would continue to do so because he trusted in LIV’s goals. He said, “I will continue to take the high road because I believe in our business model. I believe in our people, I believe in the players’ independent rights.”

At the Hero World Challenge press conference, when asked about LIV Golf, Tiger said, “I think Greg’s got to leave and then we can eventually… figure something out.” Woods believed that as long as Norman was part of the Saudi-backed series, his hatred and animosity towards the PGA would never let the two sides be at peace.

Rory did too, weeks before Tiger stated something along the same lines. He said“No one’s going to talk unless there’s an adult in the room that can actually try to mend fences,” and added, “He needs to exit stage left.”
