Masters is just around the corner and has snatched the spotlight from every other thing going on in the golf world! Even the PGA Tour and LIV Golf’s merger discussion. What makes this tournament more than just an event is the traditions, and rules that comes along with it. Like last year, there are a few LIV golfers as well on the list, and one of them is Patrick Reed. The LIV player will be on the greens of the Augusta to join the grand golf celebration at the 2024 Masters.

Patrick Reed’s green jacket victory six years ago made sure he would be welcome to compete in the iconic event for the rest of his career, as he earned a lifetime exemption. Although the 33-year-old only has one illustrious Masters victory to his name, the American golfer’s past success shows the potential that he might win the event once again.

Will Patrick Reed be able to repeat the history from the 2018 Masters?

Unfortunately, Masters will be his only major this season as of now that the LIV golfer will be competing in. He finished up T-4 last year. Reed won the 2018 Masters one stroke ahead of Rickie Fowler and by two strokes ahead of Jordan Spieth; he was leading after the second and third rounds and won with a final score of 15-under-par 273. The moment was surely one of the most joyful moments of his career.

“It’s almost impossible to put into words, Just to make the putt on the last and watch the ball go into the hole and win my first major, and finally end the drought and not only contend in majors but get in the winning circle, it just meant so much to me,” said Reed. The LIV golfer is now all geared up to make his 11th Masters appearance on April 11 at Augusta National Golf Club and would be looking forward to win the second major of his career.

Undoubtedly, this year’s master’s field is displaying a wonderful mixture of talent. From defending champion Jon Rahm to OWGR No. 1 player Scottie Scheffler, many others will tee off to perform a golf rock ‘n roll on the greens. Certainly, Reed will face tough competition on the course, from people of his own league as well! Who are the other LIV golfers that will tee off at the Masters?

Who are the LIV golfers to look out for at the Masters 2024?

A total of 13 LIV golfers will be playing in the 88th Masters. A few among them are Joaquin Niemann, who started 2024 with a fourth-place finish at the Hero Dubai Desert Classic, later triumphed at LIV Jeddah 2024, and is now eyeing getting himself a Green Jacket. He surprisingly received his invitation from ANGC a few days ago.
