Neither of the golfers seemed to know Reed throwing the tee after talking to McIlroy would bring such huge attention from fans. However, it did happen. The FedEx Cup champion claimed he didn’t notice the LIV defector coming his way and didn’t see the tee flying over his direction. However, that didn’t stop him from taking a jab at Reed for suing everyone. Notably, even the Irish golfer received a subpoena Reed’s attorneys issued on Christmas Eve

Following the incident, both golfers made it their top concern to let the other know their feelings about each other through press conferences. And Homa and Collin Morikawa decided to use the incident to have some fun of their own.

Did Max Homa and Collin Morikawa re-live the McIlroy-Reed incident?

The five times PGA tour winner finished the first round of the Farmers Insurance Open at 4-under par. It was suitable for a T-19 finish. However, He didn’t waste any time and later pulled out his phone to send a tweet. And guess what? His teammate Collin Morikawa wasn’t far behind. They both joined hands, and their tweets were spot on.

Homa happily posted an update on his first round and said, “Had a nice time on the course today. 5 birdies, 1 bogey, no subpoenas. Very successful start to the week!” However, things went in a different direction very fast. Without delay, the 25-year-old PGA Tour player chimed in and said, “Was so close to throwing a tee at you, but you’re too nice.” Homa’s other reply followed it, and it will make you laugh. He said, “Thank u for sparing me.”

The duo mocked the McIlroy-Reed incident in the funniest way possible. What else could one ask from Homa? He became everyone’s favorite on Twitter before he became an important name in professional golf. And his sense of humor was one of the reasons. But did fans laugh with him? Did they appreciate the mocking?
