It was only a few days ago when fans saw Kevin Kisner hit a comical stroke in a TGL event. The shot was so ridiculous that it ‘almost killed somebody’ at the arena. The incident was met with an array of jokes as he had become the laughingstock of the golf community. But in the end, he still managed to laugh it off himself. Tiger Woods and the Jupiter Links GC team were seen having fun in the 2nd match of TGL. But that was back on Tuesday, January, 14.
Today, the four-time PGA Tour winner was made fun of again by the fans as they watched him play in the 2025 American Express. If you didn’t know, he earned his way into the tournament through sponsorship exemption. Kisner is not someone to miss out on such opportunities as he is at the twilight of his professional golf career. He has already put on his boots as a broadcaster after failing to impress the PGA Tour board with his performances.
@JCAGOLFReport shared the tweet which included Kisner’s stats from the leaderboard of the second round of the 2025 American Express. It showed how he managed to score 3 bogeys and 1 double bogey to end the day with a 3-over par 75. The caption to the post read, “After watching Tiger Woods teammate Kevin Kisner play TGL on Tuesday and his performance this week at the AMEX PGA Tour event (T-141), I don’t want to hear anything about the bottom 30 players on @livgolf_league.” JCAGOLFReport compared Kisner’s performance to the bottom 30 of LIV Golf.

Kevin Kisner becomes a laughing stock once again
It’s clear that fans don’t hold such a high opinion of Kevin Kisner. One of the users said, “No one is claiming Kisner is a top player….. a fading star, struggling to make cuts (the LIV bottom 30 prototype).” They are suggesting that Kisner would definitely be in the bottom 30 of the LIV Golf leaderboard. A fan simply said, “Pathetic!,” as they were appalled by the bad performance of Kevin Kisner.
Someone also had another comparison to make as they commented, “I was going to make a post about Neal Shipley getting no sponsor’s exemption lol.” They are puzzled about why Shipley is not in the field instead of the Aiken local. Another user also had the same question as they replied, “But yea idk why kisner is playing and a guy like Shipley ain’t. I’m shocked kisner is doing this well thought he would be +10 the way he was hitting the ball Tuesday.” They were clearly puzzled by the PGA Tour’s choice of having Kevin Kisner over Neal Shipley. While Shipley has only played once in the PGA Tour, it is Kisner’s form that has come under scrutiny here. Just for context, the experienced golfer missed the cut in 17 of the 23 events he played in 2024.

Another follower said, “Kisner is there for the personality, he’s a hybrid broadcaster and golfer anymore chill pal.” They are trying to suggest that Kevin Kisner is only there because of his name and not his game. Well, at least he didn’t ‘almost kill’ somebody this time except for his career as a professional golfer maybe.
