There were more than 500 USA athletes at the opening ceremony in Paris. However, the world no. 1 was missing from the celebration as he took a rest in Le Bordes’ luxurious resort, just two hours away from the City of Love. But it seems, Scottie Scheffler has now traveled to Paris to start preparing for the gold medal chase.
Has the 12-time PGA Tour winner taken his firstborn, Bennett Scheffler, and wife, Meredith Scheffler, as he makes his Olympics debut at the 2024 Summer Games? Meredith Scheffler can almost always be seen supporting her husband from outside the ropes. And at the Paris Olympics, she will be there too, and yes, with Bennett Scheffler.
The world no. 1 pro delighted the fans with a family picture of the Schefflers as he enjoyed the street food in Paris [crepes] and the infamous croissants. He posted the picture on Instagram with Meredith on his side and Bennett Scheffler sleeping in his bassinet as they explored the Louvre. Scheffler joked about the two-month-old also enjoying his time, and said, “Made it to Paris & Bennett loved the Louvre.”

As the family explores the beauty of Paris, would Bennett and Meredith Scheffler soon part ways from world no. 1 as the golf games are starting in just three days? Will Scheffler need to stay somewhere else?
Will Scottie Scheffler have to live in the Olympic Village?
This year at the Summer Games, more than 11,000 athletes will be flocking to the Paris grounds to represent their countries and make a run for the decorative medals. Similarly, the four men’s golfers from the United States of America—Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Wyndham Clark, and Collin Morikawa—have reached Paris and are waiting for the schedule to start.

But where will they stay? Every year, the Olympics builds a village in the host city for the thousands of athletes with all the accommodations required for them. However, at the Olympic Village, only the athletes and their coaches or team members are allowed to enter. But in Scottie Scheffler’s case, he has his wife and child with him. As they can’t be with him in the village, the family of three will probably be accommodated in a nearby hotel from the venue, Le Golf National, as they usually do for other golf tournaments.
Additionally, the Olympics doesn’t have strict rules for the athletes, pushing them to use the Olympic Village; it is rather their choice. However, it has been encouraged as the village allows the athletes to focus only on their game without the outside noise. Nonetheless, it is more than likely that Scheffler would be staying at a hotel rather than the village, as he wouldn’t leave his wife, Meredith Scheffler, and son, Bennett Scheffler, alone in the City of Love.
