The 2024 Paris Olympics have started in full swing, however, the golf games are yet to start at the Le Golf National, outside of Paris. A total of 60 top men golfers will be representing the different NOCs (National Olympic Committee) of their country, and the United States has sent the highest numbers of pros than any other country. Since four golfers from the top 15 were eligible for each NOC, Team USA was fortunate to have all four golfers in the top rankings on the OWGR.
The four golfers, as widely known, are world no. 1 Scottie Scheffler, 2-time major winner Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa with 6 PGA Tour wins, and 2023 U.S. Open champion, Wyndham Clark. The four golfers will start their Olympic games on August 1st, which will conclude on the 4th. For fans, there are several ways to watch their favorites tee up at the Le Golf National.
For those opting for TV, the Golf Channel will broadcast all four rounds from 3:00 a.m. from Thursday to Sunday with a simulcast on Peacock for the first part. Moreover, on Sunday, the USA Network will also join in and start televising the final round from 2:00 p.m. onwards. Part two of all four rounds can be watched on Peacock, NBCOlympics.com, NBC.com, NBC app, NBC Olympics app, and NBC reports. The second part will start at 7:00 a.m. and conclude by noon from Thursday to Sunday at the Olympics golf event. The medal ceremony will take place in the last thirty minutes of the final rounds, which will be on August 4th. Golf will be played at the Olympics for only the third time, after being reinstated in 2016, as it was absent from the Olympic schedule for more than 100 years. Fans and golfers will surely be excited to chase some medals, but can the fans watch the four American pros for all four days of the games? Or will there be a cut at the 2024 Paris Olympics golf event?

Is the Paris Olympics format similar to other professional events?
Golf at the Olympics follows a similar format as the major championships and the PGA Tour or other tours. The golfers play 72 holes, and the pro with the fewest strokes tops the leaderboard, eventually being crowned the gold medalist. However, unlike the PGA Tour or major events, golf at the Olympics doesn’t observe the 36-hole cut, assuring that fans get to watch their favorite pros for all four days.

Instead, the golfers are allowed to play all four days and then the medals will be awarded, giving everyone an equal chance to make a comeback. Additionally, there are also sudden death playoffs in case of ties to determine the gold, silver, and bronze medalists in case of ties for the first, second, or third position.
Interestingly, the USA has the defending gold medalist, Xander Schauffele, who has been in dominant form and recently won the 152nd Open Championship. Given the strong US participants at the Paris Olympics, it would not be wrong to assume that the gold might be coming home again.
