Many use their social media presence to voice their opinions and views. Paige Spiranac probably does it more often than most. She openly calls out people if she thinks they’re wrong and stands up for those she thinks have faced injustice. She once opened up about her idol, Tiger Woods when he was being mistreated.

Paige said that she felt that people were being “too hard” on him.

Paige Spiranac stands up for Tiger Woods

Like many other golfers, Spiranac looked up to Tiger her entire life. And when his alleged scandal came to light, she went against the world and said that he was imperfect just like us all. She revisited the golf legend’s 2009 scandal on her podcast in 2021 and backed him up. She said, “Even when all this was happening, I think people were being too hard on him.”

Paige said that Tiger had made a mistake, just like everyone else, and that no one was perfect. The golf beauty didn’t think that the amount of hate and abuse Tiger was receiving was fair. She said that “probably 99.9%” of people did something bad in their lives and that he should not have been subjected to that much hate for his mistakes. She said, “You don’t know what they are going through.”

Spiranac also put her point across, saying that Woods had only made a mistake. “It’s not like he killed someone,” she stated. Paige explained that no one had the right to sit in the comfort of their homes and judge Woods for what he had done when they would not have handled the whole situation any better. She said, “I don’t think any of us could handle that spotlight, it’s insane.”

What Spiranac thinks affected Woods

Paige didn’t justify Woods’ wrongdoings, but she believes his celebrity status contributed to them. “He’s never had a normal life,” she said. Woods has been in the media spotlight regularly since he was a teenager in the 1990s, and she thought that would have affected even the best of people.

The blonde beauty said, “Of course he is going to have issues growing up in that environment; the fame he had, he’s always been in the spotlight.” Woods had witnessed, as a child, his parents’ marriage fall apart due to his father’s scandals. And Paige suggested that that, too, affected his life.

Spiranac didn’t say what Woods did wasn’t wrong, but her point was that until one was in his shoes, one could not fully understand the situation that he had faced.
