It is likely for the fans to find a sports entity who rose above their expectations in a major event and delivered something special. Similarly, the golf world thinks the same about the player without a win on the Tour, who battled with a former champion in the 2022 PGA Championship. However, why does the former professional golfer, Paige Spiranac consider him overrated?

“Will Zalatoris. I don’t get the willy-zilly hype!” Spiranac answered why she thinks the 25-year-old is an overrated player. The retired professional golfer explained it after a listener of her podcast asked the same in the latest episode, ‘Q&A.’

Unlike other episodes, Spiranac dedicated the latest episode of ‘Playing a Round with Paige Renee’ podcast to answering questions from her listeners.

“I just don’t get the hype,” she stated. “He’s played well in majors. I will give him that,” she further added. Although Spiranac doesn’t think Zalatoris will have a bad career, she considers that he is overrated.

Will Zalatoris is a 25-year-old American professional golfer. Although he has won an event on the Korn Ferry Tour, Zalatoris has never won a tournament on the PGA Tour. However, as Spiranac mentioned, he plays well in major championships.

Zalatoris was tied with Justin Thomas for the top position after four rounds at the 2022 PGA Championship. Although he lost the title, Zalatoris impressed everyone with his valiant effort. Furthermore, Zalatoris finished at T6 at the 2022 Masters Tournament. He also had finished under the top 10 at the Masters, PGA Championship, and U. S. Open of 2021.
