Let’s take a small recap, shall we? Tiger Woods was in action at the TGL, and his team, Jupiter Links GC, faced off against Los Angeles GC. The match had its share of exciting moments, but one incident that stole the show was Kevin Kisner’s hilarious blunder on the par-3 14th hole. Kisner attempted a shot from the bunker, but it went horribly wrong – the ball flew straight into the flagstick, bouncing off it in a ridiculous manner.

The crowd erupted in laughter, and even the usually stoic Tiger Woods couldn’t help but crack up. Woods later described Kisner’s shot as one of the “funniest” moments he’d ever witnessed, saying, “It was just one of those weird nights.” Unfortunately, Woods’ team didn’t fare too well in the match, suffering a crushing 12-1 defeat. Big golf names are now reacting to the embarrassing moment on social media, sharing their laughter and disbelief at Kisner’s mishap. Golf influencer Paige Spiranac recently went on X and reposted the video of the mishap and wrote, “One of us! One of us! One of us!” emphasizing with Kisner and taking a lighthearted jab at him.

Well, a lot of other golfers also reacted to Kisner’s mishap, but it was Tiger Woods and Max Homa who couldn’t help but burst out laughing at the absurdity of it all. Woods later elaborated on the incident at the post-event press conference, saying, “Well, we honestly didn’t think that anyone could possibly get hit in here. But that was one of the funniest moments I’ve ever seen, Kis hitting that shot like that. We were just dying.” Woods also poked fun at Kisner’s misfortune, joking about a microphone being stuck in his ear. It was clear that Kisner’s mishap had become the talk of the tournament, with many golfers and fans still chuckling about it.

Tiger Woods made a memorable entrance at the TGL, walking out to the iconic song “Eye of the Tiger” – a predictable but awesome choice! His son Charlie might not have been too thrilled about it, though. Woods was hyped to get started, saying, “We’re going to have fun. I’ve got two unbelievably great talkers on my team, I think we’ll be giving each other crap more than the other team. We just want to showcase golf and have a lot of fun and entertain everyone who’s watching.”

He was looking forward to showcasing golf and entertaining the crowd. As the 49-year-old was set to make the opening shot of the match, he was seen instantly pulling out the hammer flag, which made the first hole worth two points. Woods found the fairway with his tee shot, matched by Justin Rose for L.A., and the hole ended in a tie with both players making par.

The match itself didn’t quite go as planned for Woods and his team, Jupiter Links. Despite a strong start, they ended up losing 12-1 to Los Angeles. Woods acknowledged that his team had a tough night, hitting five balls into penalty areas. Maybe it was just one of those nights for the golfer. Despite the disappointing result, Woods was still upbeat and looking forward to the next match.
