We do what we do is because we love this game, we want to grow it,” stated a bold Paige Spiranac back in February on one of her podcasts. The diva did so while commenting on how the golfing environment has undergone a significant change, with more women getting into the game. Although she does dub the result as ultimately “a good thing,” her efforts aren’t met with much welcome most of the time. The recent example proves it all!

The 31-year-old shared a story on her Instagram handle, calling out a golfing enthusiast who apparently sent her a ‘nasty message’ and then went ahead to share the same publicly via her story. Although she initially ignored the “hateful” DM, Spiranac in the end did take to her social media handle to post a reply to her ‘hater’. All the while, she encouraged others to be more considerate and to advocate for each other.

The DM that Spiranac received attacked the diva by calling her a “disgrace”, “disgusting,” and “an absolute piece of t**h” all the while calling herself a “classier” woman who doesn’t objectify herself. That’s not all. She even downplayed the model’s efforts to spread awareness about the sport while adding, “You are really f**king it up for the rest of us who don’t feel good about showing our t*ts and a*es to men in a place where it’s not even necessary to dress up to get their attention.” The social media influencer often talks about the need to dress up comfortably on the course while playing the sport and sharing content on the same. That is what seems to have irked the follower, resulting in her message.

She didn’t end it there, as the enthusiast shared a screenshot of the message that Spiranac had ignored in her Instagram story. She did so while adding how one should follow Nelly Korda’s example instead of the golfing influencer’s. Korda has been in great form recently, with six wins on the women’s circuit from 9 starts.

Case in point: The online follower went again and dubbed the American beauty as someone “who sells her body on the course rather than being known for how she plays,” before accusing her of having no respect for women or tradition for golf. It looks like being both a model and an athlete in golf while combining the two at times to encourage others to do what they want didn’t sit well with the follower who pointed out the same.

Spiranac, however, did not intend to leave it hanging as she re-uploaded the snippet. The ravishing blonde did so while sharing her love for the game as well as her point of view when it came to women’s upliftment; “I advocate for the women to get into the game. I also advocate for people to live their truth. I like who I am and how I dress. I know my content isn’t everyone’s cup of tea but there is a way to express that opinion without being so hateful. It’s time we lift others up.” Being a woman and accusing her of such a bold choice did not sit well with the 31-year-old, as she expressed the need for being united in the sport.

This isn’t the first time that the golfer-cum-influencer has been on the receiving end of hate. She has come face-to-face with such online attackers many times, which has resulted in her dishing out apt replies to the haters as well.

Although Spiranac, this time around, did not go too savage in her reply to the follower, the influencer has not shied away from doing so if the situation arises. In a post uploaded by the 2022 Maxim Sexiest Woman in which she tried to teach her fans some tips in the game while sporting a stunning bold blue two-piece attire, a follower went ahead and commented, “Who here can honestly say they can even pay attention to the words coming out of her mouth??!!”

Her response? Well, she quickly retorted, while mentioning how many people actually listen to her tips. “I get a bunch of messages from people saying my golf tips have lowered their scores,” added Paige Spiranac, “It’s your biased opinion based off of my appearance but the information I give is solid.” She sure has proved many times over the years why any critic would need to think twice before commenting on her appearance. And she has managed to do so yet again in her recent Instagram story as well.
