It was 2023 when the world got to know about Tayvis. Ever since Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been showing up for each other, the fans love it. Taylor Swift has appeared in many Chiefs games, and Kelce has shown up at many Eras Tour concerts too. They went gaga when the singer surprised him and the world in Argentina by changing the Karma lyrics. Or how she flew in from Japan to be there for him when the Chiefs went against the San Francisco 49ers in the 2024 Super Bowl. She garnered a lot of praise last year and even celebrated the win with Kelce. So, how could this year have been any different? It should not have been, but it was.
The Chiefs played against the Philadelphia Eagles, only to bear a devastating loss. Swift was there, seated in a VIP suite, comfortable in a white tank top, denim shorts, and her ever-classic red lipstick. All she was doing was supporting the man she is with, like anyone in a relationship would do, but she ended up getting booed severely. It happened when she appeared on the big screen, and fans started booing her. She looked visibly confused at the moment.
“Aww, what, what’s going on?” she mumbled. One can argue that the choir of the boo was from Eagles fans, as Swift is from Pennsylvania and even wore Eagles gear before dating Kelce. He was pretty much aware of it happening, and not being able to do anything about it hurt him.

“Travis was aware of Taylor getting booed, and he felt helpless. Seeing the look on her face got to him,” a source said later, as per Yahoo. “He always protects her, and it broke his heart. He was already having a tough night, and the fact that the stadium was predominantly Eagles fans didn’t help.” After this happened, people started showing support for the pop star.
At the moment, Ice Spice, who was sitting with Swift, simply gave a side-eye and a resigned laugh. The Public Enemy rapper—the self-proclaimed “King Swiftie”—posted online, “Eagles fans will boo anyone… Remember when they booed and attacked Santa Claus??? SANTA CLAUS,!!!” he wrote on Bluesky, sharing a Wikipedia link describing a famous 1968 incident wherein Philadelphia football fans pelted the star of that year’s Christmas parade with snowballs. Serena Williams — who joined Kendrick Lamar on the field during halftime for a brief but iconic cameo—was quick to come to Swift’s defense on X. “I love you @taylorswift13 don’t listen to those booo!!” the tennis champ posted. Even Paige Spiranac, golf’s most popular and vocal influencer, with more than 4.4 million followers on Instagram and 1 million on X, showed her support.
“It was reported that the NFL’s brand value has increased almost 1 billion dollars since Taylor Swift started dating Kelce. The NFL is using her popularity to boost their brand. So booing Taylor Swift is lame. She was just showing up to support her significant other. The amount of times she’s shown at a game or posted on social media is out of her control,” she wrote on X. To say that the singer has boosted the NFL’s popularity can actually be underselling the fact. You see, the Swift effect on the NFL is not a myth. Really.

Between September 2023 and January 2024, Swift’s visibility at Chiefs games alone generated $366.7 million in total brand value for the NFL, according to MarketWatch. But the real financial explosion came after the 2024 AFC Championship. Her presence boosted the league’s value by an additional $634.3 million by the end of January. That’s a staggering $1 billion in less than five months. According to Fanatics, an American manufacturer and online retailer of licensed sportswear, Kelce merchandise saw a 400 percent increase in sales after the first Chiefs game Swift attended. In 2024, the NFL’s TikTok gained more than 50% new female followers. Travis Kelce’s Instagram followers skyrocketed from 2.7 million to 6.7 million. So, wherever Swift goes, money follows.

This was not the first time Paige Spiranac voiced her bold opinion. She has always been very vocal in supporting others, especially for standing up for fellow females.
When Paige Spiranac supported another pop singer
A while ago, an account on X pointed out Sabrina Carpenter’s hypocrisy sarcastically by calling her a “genius” for embracing “her sexuality but still keeps women as her target audience. Like how is she performing in lingerie, and I still feel like it’s not for men at all. I can’t comprehend it, but I love it.” Spiranac was quick to respond and called out the society’s double standards.

As somebody who has been called out many times for living her life the way she wants to, she mentioned that she dislikes women who choose their support as per their convenience. At the end of her post, she wrote, “Women should be able to embrace their sexuality if that’s what makes them feel empowered. One shouldn’t be called a genius while the other is called an attention wh*re for doing the same exact thing.”
Spiranac is also taking on the charge to bring the change in slow play too. A woman who cannot see any wrong it seems. What do you think of Spiranac always saying what’s on her mind? We appreciate it, do you?
