In the men’s golf world, Ludvig Aberg has carved a name for himself this year without a doubt. The 24-year-old only turned pro this year in June and, within six months, achieved his first tournament victories on both the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour. Moreover, he was also a part of the winning European team in the Ryder Cup.

After winning the DPWT’s Omega European Masters in September, he wrapped up the season in style by winning the RSM Classic last weekend, leaving behind big names on the course. It comes as no surprise after all these feats that Aberg is now a chant in many fans’ mouths; in fact, he’s gained so much popularity now that he even has a musical tribute that pays him homage!

As an amateur, Åberg was awarded the Annika Sörenstam Trophy after he won the Swedish Teen Tour Order of Merit. He also bagged many other accolades, and then he turned pro this year. Before his first win on the PGA Tour, he had delivered many good finishes. He finished in T10 at the World Wide Technology Championship, T13 at the Shriners Children’s Open, and T2 at the Sanderson Farms Championship.

Ludvig has also managed to remain in the top 10 at tournaments like the D+D Real Czezh Masters and the John Deere Classic and was in the top 20 at so many more. No doubt the praise he is getting from all quarters is well deserved, including his recent musical tribute dedicated to him, the curtosey of an undoubtedly die-hard fan, Sam Harrop.

A new name in music, Harrop, whose YouTube bio describes him as a “UK-based pianist/singer who dabbles with occasional songwriting,” has written a song for him. The song goes, “There is a guy from Sweden making moves like Jack, turned pro in June, and he ain’t look back. He came right out, and he won the crans, Luke’s Ryder Cup nod went to the plan.” The song is 2.30 minutes long, during which he praises all of Aberg’s achievements in the last six months.

Praising the Swedish golfer, the musician wrote in the caption, “Rarely do we see a stellar young talent burst onto the scene the way Ludvig Aberg has, and what he’s achieved in the six months since he turned pro felt deserving of a little ode”.

It’s safe to say that Harrop’s melody of praise for Aberg was a hit among fans. After all, he’s written many songs for golfers, and his most recent was just as good as any of them!

The golf world is in awe of the musical praise

Harrop is a talented young man who has also written for other players as well, including Lucas Glover, Tommy Fleetwood, Brooks Koepka, and a few others. His channel mainly comprises golf parody songs. And the golf world was very appreciative of this attempt, too. Here’s some of what they had to say:

One fan absolutely loved the tribute, the golfer, and another musician, Christopher Alvin Stapleton, who seems to have provided musical motivation for Sam. The song was a big slam dunk for him.

Another fan felt that after one stellar performance after another, Harrop has found his life purpose in creating good music about golf. The melody was indeed pleasing to the admirer.

Sam’s pet dog, Toby, who is in the video in the background, also got the recognition of a fan. When asked why not credit him as well, Sam replied that he forgot to mention him.

Harrop’s musical melodies have kept the internet a sane place for this user, who otherwise would have found the internet machine to be intolerable.

This fan thinks that Sam knocked it out of the park with this ultimate homage to Aberg and beautifully described all that he has done since turning pro.
