For some time now, most people in golf are somehow talking about The Match, featuring golf’s greatest rivals – Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau. The two have been thorough with their trash talk, drawing enough attention and creating the necessary buzz. With NFL icon Tom Brady replying to Koepka, it is clear that it’s not just the golf world that is waiting for the two golfers to go up against each other.

Koepka and DeChambeau’s trash talk has been going on for a few days now, fans just as invested as the two. While their feud was ongoing, Team USA’s Ryder Cup win seems to have mellowed it all down. While the two are certainly not friends, there seems to be much more respect than there was before.

Of course, that has stopped them from preparing for The Match.

Let’s take a look at what Brady had to say about the event.

Tom Brady on Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau’s The Match

In a video uploaded by Bleacher Report, DeChambeau is seen hitting shots off the roof, right into a ‘giant’ Koepka target. At the end of the three and half minute video, the 28-year-old managed to actually hit the target. While DeChambeau celebrated, Koepka responded to the video. He let everyone know that ‘giant’ was the keyword, referring to himself as ‘challenging’.

Brady’s response was to Koepka, a suggestion of sorts for The Match.

“Can we incorporate a hole next Friday where you guys start at opposite ends and actually hit golf balls at each other?” the Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback wrote, golf fans immediately responding. While many were on about Patrick Mahomes and Aaron Rodgers, some spoke of DeChambeau and Koepka. One fan really liked Brady’s idea, believing it would help increase the ratings.

Brady himself has been a part of The Match before, playing with Phil Mickelson and against Rodgers and DeChambeau. Brady and Mickelson lost, the younger duo taking home the win.

Interestingly, the Buccaneers will be facing the New York Giants for their next game on Monday, November 22.

Are DeChambeau and Koepka ready for The Match?

By the looks of all the trash talk, both PGA Tour stars seem excited about the face-off. It is meant to be a 12-hole exhibition event, scheduled on November 26 in Las Vegas at the Wynn Golf Club. This will be Koepka’s debut at the event, though he has previously donated $100,000 for the ‘Champions for Charity’ edition.
