Will the unpredictable Paris weather crown an unexpected champion at the FedEx Open De France?

DP World Tour goes to Paris for the 2024 FedEx Open De France. We are all excited to watch some great strokeplay from our favorite golfers. Le Golf National is an exciting and beautiful course to play in and watch. We will witness some of the world’s best players go head-to-head for the French Open title. Golfers like Billy Horschel, Niklas Nørgaard, Nicolas Colsaerts, and many more will compete for the $5 million prize money.

However, there have been instances where the proceedings were interrupted by bad weather; particularly rain and strong winds. Just last year, the French Open was plagued by precipitation and game-effecting wind that may have ruined the tournament. The effects of the bad weather are still fresh in our minds.

Thus, amidst all the anticipation, it would be wise to have information about the weather conditions for the occasion. So let’s learn the weather forecast for the 2024 Open De France.

Will rain play a spoilsport again?

The weather report does not paint a pretty picture of the conditions during the tournament. While the weather on Thursday will be mostly sunny, we might experience some irregular rainfall in the early morning and afternoon hours. It is possible that the players may have to tee off on wet fields with a temperature of around 55.4°F at the start of play. Most of the remaining game time shows clear skies, which is great for most of the round. However, rain may interrupt the last few holes of the day, as moderate drizzles may hinder the strokes.

The tournament’s second round seems to have been blessed by Mother Nature. Apart from some clouds, the weather appears mostly clear throughout the day. The temperature will average out at about 53.6-55.4°F. The wind will also be lightly breezy which will not affect the ball’s trajectory too much.

Day 3 seems to be facing the wrath of the anti-golf weather gods. We can see the possibility of perspiration, throughout the day, ranging from light drizzles to moderate rain. If the constant rain wasn’t enough, it might get slightly windy and affect the game. The weather might also be a bit colder, with temperatures averaging at 48.2°F.

The Open De France 2024 seems to end on a less chaotic note. The weather forecast shows that there will not be any rain throughout the day. But it will still remain cloudy, which may lead to loss of light and disruption in play. The temperature will be around 51.8°F.
