Rickie Fowler has come back stronger than ever this season. One after another he undid his previous failures and is on the way to accomplishing new milestones.

The orange crush of fans has been struggling for a lot in the last few years but tis’ the season for him. While vying for the prestigious Open Championship, Fowler has added yet another big achievement to his resume.

Fowler is holding his grip tight at Hoylake and trying his best to advance on the leaderboard. The first two rounds didn’t work out that well for him as he made a cut on the number at three over par. But it was the third round that improved the position of Fowler. On Saturday, he finished the round with four-under 67 which took him up a whopping 51 spots on the leaderboard and he sat on T11. But this round did another miracle for him as well. This was the first bogey-free round that he had in a major championship since 2018.

Saturday was a tough challenge as he had to perform while it was raining. But he aimed for birdies on the par-4 2nd and 4th and succeeded. He followed up with two birdies which played a big role in raising his spot. This must be a thrilling experience for Rickie who is on a role this season.

In 2023, Fowler was finally able to undo the eclipse that has been shadowing his career for the last 4 years. He gathered attention with his performance which improved with every game. His breakout came at the US Open where he and Xander Schauffele carded a matching 8-under-par 62s, which is the lowest rounds ever recorded at the U.S. Open.

Then he won the Rocket Mortgage Classic and gave his fans the win they were long waiting for. And now he makes another personal record at yet another major championship.

These events have raised the spirits of Fowler who is sure of a good result on Sunday. He said, “No matter kind of what happens, we’ll still have a good round tomorrow and have a good chance to salvage a good finish out of this thing.”  Well, he may not win, but he will surely remember this tournament as his personal milestone.
