Dealing with exes is always a troublesome affair. Not if you are Tiger Woods, it seems. The 46-year-old golf legend has been involved in many relationships that have gained extensive attention from the public. However, his split has often ended with a mutual understanding. Olympic ski legend, Lindsey Vonn, who dated Woods between 2013-15, once said that the pair remained friends and predicted a historic future outcome.

“I support him. We’re friends, we congratulate each other… it’s really nice to see him playing so well again,” she said. Vonn then went a step further in wishing Woods the best in his future, while also predicting that he will rise back to the top. “I think It’s only a matter of time before he does actually win another tournament… after all his injuries and surgeries… that he has come back and fought his way back… he will be at the top again.”

Vonn’s words work like magic for Woods

However, Woods scripted one of the most exhilarating comeback stories in sports history by claiming his fifth Masters victory in 2019. The betting odds were placed on 14-1 for Woods to lift the trophy, the lowest ever among his major victories. His 1997 Masters win, Woods’ debut major championship victory, had better odds at 8-1.

But if not by bookmakers, there was a belief from Woods’ close quarters. Vonn’s faith in Woods remained unwavering, even after their split.
