Lexi Thompson expressed her feelings about her best tournament win
Thompson has a record of winning 11 tournaments in her career as of now. And among these victories was a major championship as well. Thompson was in a Q&A session with Bridgestone Golf when she shared details about how her first victory was her favorite tournament win out of all time.
Among all her 11 wins, her favorite one was the Navistar LPGA Classic, which she won at a very young age. And what made it even more special for her was that she had her family to support her. She mentioned said, “Navistar LPGA Classic, which is my first LPGA win, just because getting the first one under my belt, and then having my dad being on my bag and sharing that moment with them” She added, “It was just one that I always remember”
Thompson showed wonderful skills at the tournament and had a total four-day score of 271. She even became the youngest player to win an LPGA Tournament. Thompson was trying very hard to succeed at being a professional golfer. And it was at that tournament she knew she had got her perfect start.

Thompson broke down during a press conference
The LPGA star was seen getting emotional numerous times during a press conference back in 2017. It was after she received four penalty strokes a month before, and it was the first time she addressed the matter. “I’ve never cried so much on a golf course,” Thompson said. Talking about her experience, she said it was a nightmare after she missed a shot at winning the first major championship of the season.
The golfer had a three-shot lead with five remaining holes in the final round. But she was soon told that she was getting a two-stroke penalty for improperly marking her ball on the 17th green the previous day. Moreover, she even got another two-stroke penalty for wrongly signing the scorecard. But these are experiences that every successful human being has to face before finally making it to the top. And the same happened with Thompson, who stands on an incomparable pedestal today in the field of golf.
