The Hall of Fame golfer was trimming the sea grapes on a tree in his South Florida home. He posted a picture on Instagram with the caption, “Time to trim the sea grapes today. Never ask someone to do something that you can do yourself. Love to work!”

Suddenly, the weight of a branch led the chain saw toward his left hand. The blade hit Norman just below the wrist; thankfully, it missed the artery, even if only by a fraction of an inch.

Later, he posted a photo of him in the hospital recovering from the chainsaw accident. He gained respect for the chainsaw and instructed his followers to respect it. Norman was happy to be in good health and considered himself lucky.

He wrote, “I was one lucky man today. Damaged, but not down & out.” He did not have muscle damage or lose his hand; therefore, you can call Norman a fortunate guy. The left hand was intact, and he received the necessary medical care.
