The 2024 season of LIV Golf was not a great outing for Bubba Watson. The 2x Masters Tournament winner was in terrible form and finished at the bottom of the table. The RangeGoats GC captain had secured 3.66 points and had a best finish of T15 in 13 events. Watson was also the only captain to be relegated last season. But that all changed a few weeks ago.
The RangeGoats GC team announced that they had retained their captain for the 2025 season. It came as a surprise to many who were expecting the LIV Golf team to find a new captain for their squad. It has been over a month since then and it seems that Bubba Watson & the RangeGoats GC are thriving based on a recent update.

LIV Golf and its teams have been finding a lot of support from various sponsors around the world in the past few weeks. And now RangeGoats GC has also been added to the list. The X account of LIV Golf Insider recently shared a major update about the Bubba Watson-led team.
The tweet read, “RangeGoats have announced a partnership with the golf apparel brand Swannies”. This confirms that the Swannies brand will be sponsoring the RangeGoats GC for the 2025 season. The caption also mentioned a quote from the club’s spokesperson, “With Swannies, we found an apparel partner that produces high quality affordable gear that our fans can wear on the golf course, in the office, or out to dinner”. The post also featured a screenshot of the news announced by a media outlet. It features all four players of RangeGoats GC along with some information about the deal. From the ‘relief’ of getting retained to cracking a major sponsorship deal, Bubba Watson seems to have come a long way in the past few weeks.

Sponsors are showing interest in LIV Golf teams
It seems that LIV Golf has finally started to win over the community and brands globally. Many of its top teams have attracted a lot of sponsors recently. Bryson DeChambeau and the Crushers GC recently signed a mega contract with Reebok. The major sports brand is set to be the shoes and apparel sponsor for them. Dustin Johnson and the dominant 4Aces GC brought in Magellan Jets as their private jet partners back in July 2024.
Ian Poulter and the Majesticks GC aligned with Destination Sport, a sports travel company. Their journeys across the globe playing LIV Golf events will be managed by the brand. This time last year, Brooks Koepka and Smash GC also signed a deal with Nike. This came after the shocking end to their 27-year contract with Tiger Woods. Getting the support of such amazing brands will definitely boost the morale of all the teams.
