Who would’ve thought that granddaughter of the 47th POTUS, Kai Trump, would be good friends with Bryson DeChambeau? They have had frequent interaction in the past, especially on social media. Additionally, the 2x US Open winner had also made an appearance in one of Kai’s vlogs. Also, another famous instance was when Kai jokingly claimed she “stole” DeChambeau’s $4.3M putter. So, it’s a friendship that is more than the greens. But in a recent video on her channel, it seemed like she also does not mind pulling the leg of her friend.
Recently, Kai Trump, who’s already made waves in the golfing world despite her tender age, just dropped a video that had us all chuckling: Kai Trump vs Garrett Clark – PAR 3 Challenge on YouTube. The challenge that the golfers had taken up was to hold in PAR 3 for a 140-yard drive, and also to use any club of choice. You know the drill—two friends, a bit of competition, and some good-natured banter. During the challenge, Garrett, the ever-jovial buddy, casually says, “Do the Break 50. Shout-out, Bryson.” To which Kai Trump gave an awkward giggle and replied, “We don’t do that here.” Along with that, the humorous meme music cued. Now, for the uninitiated, “Break 50” is a reference to Bryson DeChambeau’s infamous YouTube series that has starred famous personalities, including Donald Trump. Hence, the President’s granddaughter is quite familiar with the series and had to give a witty reply so that Bryson doesn’t get a chance to shine in her own video.

In a casual, competitive moment with Garrett, she was thrown off by the mention of her golf “buddy,” and it was all captured on camera. However, given Kai Trump is an emerging talent, has she taken Bryson DeChambeau and applied her own skill set as well? Well, let’s go over her performances to find out.
Kai Trump: A Rising Star with a Bright Future
Kai Trump has been in the spotlight in the amateur league of golf. Her most recent performance came in the 2025 Sage Valley Junior Invitational in South Carolina. She concluded the tournament with rounds of 89, 79, 83, and 89, totaling 52-over par, which placed her last in a field of 24 golfers. Whether it’s laughing off golf mishaps or making quirky comments on her YouTube channel, Kai Trump is quickly becoming a favorite in the golfing community. With an impressive set of skills, the support of big-name golfers like Bryson DeChambeau, and a sense of humor that makes her videos a must-watch, she’s proving that golf doesn’t have to be all serious business.
Earlier, in April 2024, Kai participated in the Medalist Tour at Lost Lake Golf Club, where she tied for 14th place with rounds of 84 and 81, totaling 165.
What will she do next? If her recent videos are any indication, expect more laughs, more golf shots, and definitely more awkward moments with some big-name players in the game. Because, as Kai Trump might say, “We don’t do that here”—but we sure do love watching her do everything else.
